Liquid Roof Installation

 

There are many different roofing systems out there, and most of them require an expert to install them on your building. Not liquid roofs. The liquid roof installation process is the easiest roof installation process in the industry. Other systems require extensive training, specialized equipment, large crews, and lots of time to be installed. That is not so with liquid roofs. Specifically, we’re going to examine the installation process of liquid silicone roofs in this post.

The equipment to install a silicone roof is extremely simple. An airless sprayer and a spray tip. Or if you want to roll, that’s even simpler – You only need a paint roller and a roller cover. You can use other tools, such as painters’ tape, caulk guns, and rags. Each of those can probably be found in the basement of your home right now. No specialized equipment means it’s an easy business for contractors to enter, and it means building owners don’t pay a high price for the equipment required to work.

 

Liquid roof installation doesn’t require the large crews as other systems do. At a minimum, a silicone roof can be installed with a crew of only three workers. Someone on the ground managing the pumps, someone on the roof managing the hoses, and someone on the gun applying the material. Or, if you are rolling the coating, you can have a crew of only one worker! That means your labor costs are significantly lower than those of other roofing systems that require more workers.

 

Finally, silicone roofing is one of the fastest roofing systems available. You’ll be hard-pressed to find another roofing system that offers the same benefits of silicone while offering quick installation. Because the system is so simple, it can be installed much more quickly than nearly every roofing system. Foregoing the need for a primer allows silicone to cut out an entire step. Silicone is even faster than other liquid roof installation processes, such as acrylics, which require multiple coats.
