PM’s Premium Colors
Most building owners who have used PM Silicone on their roof are sold on the “cool roof” qualities of Progressive Materials’ white silicone. Building owners love the UV reflectivity and energy savings gained from our white coatings! Others, however, may want to add some color to their roof. Whether for safety reasons, branding, or technical reasons, we have a full line of premium colors available in an instant, and we can also color match any color that is given to us. This blog dives into our standard and premium colors, and looks into the custom color matching process.
Standard Colors
Before we move on, it’s important to remember that just about any roof coating on the market comes in standard colors. At PM, our standard colors are White, Tan, Light Gray, Dark Gray, and Black.
Each has its own advantages. Our top-selling white silicone, for example, can reflect up to 88% of the sun’s UV rays, keeping your building cooler and energy costs down. Black silicone might be a good choice in cooler climates because it helps hold heat.
Premium Colors
In addition to our standard colors, we also have four premium colors. These are Hunter Green, Barn Red, Regal Blue, and Dark Brown.
Why would a customer choose one of these? The options are endless. Many want to simply improve their building’s appearance. Some add a logo to their roof. Others simply add a special touch by marking walkways or skylight borders with colored silicone coating.
Custom Colored Silicone
In addition to our standard and premium colored silicones, we can also custom color match any color you choose. Simply send us a color chip and our lab will get to work matching any color you can come up with. You can learn more about our custom color process, here.
Availability & Application
Amid surging demand, PM has started fully stocking our premium colors to alleviate long lead times. With this change, we have also removed our restrictions on minimum order quantities. If you need one 5-gallon bucket or a truckload, we can quickly fill that order.
Our premium colors should be applied the same way as standard colors – they can be sprayed or rolled-applied on the roof. It’s worth noting that our premium colors provide the same seamless membrane, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability as our white silicone.
